I began working as a freelance writer and translator in the 1980s, devising and adapting texts for theatre and performance projects. From 1998 until 2009 I was co-director of the Western Front Publications Program and editor of FRONT magazine, and from 2011 to 2019 editor of Dance Central. I served as guest editor of Candian Theatre Review and as contributor/editor for several publications on contemporary interdisciplinary art practices, and continue to work as a translator in both directions between English and German.
